Summary

This novel tells the story of Lorac Seriph, also known as Lorac the Destroyer.

It begins in the city of Pentarch with him gaining a new apprentice named Alec. He falls in love with Alec who recipicates his feelings. Around him politics swarm as the political group known as the Iron Claw wish to take the monopoly that the First Families have out of the Ruling Council. As Lorac is a member of one of the First Families and the one who will take his mother's place on the council, he has a great stake in this.
