Mind slyphs are inanimate objects given a "humanoid" form. They are the object be it a book, building, weapon but they also have an intelligence and are able to project a human form. Slyphs are objects and have no sexuality despite appearing to sometimes have a gender. Instead they focus on their duties as an specific object.
Not necessarily magical, but definitely specific to the world.
