When the city of Pentarch was destroyed by Lorac Seriph (later known as Lorac the Destroyer) several wizards decided that the destruction was a message from the gods. The gods sent Lorac as a divine servant to cleanse the wizards of their hubris.

Over the years the cult gained a large following among the humans because of its promise of a touch of magic as well as justice.
